We attended worship which was one of the most impactful services ever attended by anyone on the team.  Music and dancing was the prominent theme and everyone truly felt the presence of God.  True joy was so contagious that everyone felt like they were a part of something huge.  Lunch was shared with the congregation where there were approximately 180 people present.  Rice, nsima, chicken and collard greens made up the lunch meal.  The collard greens were absolutely fabulous!

That afternoon we headed to Katonda where the women of the village demonstrated their nutritional methods such as making porridge, nsima with nuts (which included the oil – fat – that was necessary as part of any meal) along with collard greens and fish.  One important factor that cannot go unnoticed was being greeted by 60 women and their children with music which quickly turned into a dance-off where Crystal and Cary shared their dancing talents.  The women also took the team to view their gardens which were enclosed to keep the goats out.

That evening there was a mean game of Spoons.  Here’s a tip for Spoons:  it’s the quiet ones you have to be wary of!  The devotion was led by Richard with music which also included some made up pretty impressive versions.
