This morning we awoke to the sound of a rooster crowing, an unusual (for us) yet very effective alarm clock.  Not long after we got up, we headed out to visit several ZOE children and celebrate their successes.  The children name their communities based upon how they feel about the ZOE program.  Today we met the rightfully proud young business owners from the groups: “Blessings Together, “God Gives”, and “Gratitude”.  We want to share every story here that touched our hearts, but that would take hours, so we will share a few that represents a common theme.

day 5.2 day 5.1

Peter owns an electronic store.  He started offering a cell phone charging service as a way to help meet a needs of the community as well as other services.  He is saving his money to help his younger sister start a beauty shop.

day 5

We also visited the permaculture farm again to listen to their visions for the future which includes collecting rain water from a gutter system that they will then use for gardening and a fish pond.  Joseph has a passion to create the Garden of Eden here on earth.

day 5.3

We continue to experience God in every encounter with the people of Malawi!
