Our Jamaica mission team started the day early March 12 at the KCI Airport at 6:15 am. Despite a rainy, cold morning, everyone was in good spirits and excited to take off on our journey. After a wonderful blessing by Scott, we boarded the plane. The flight went smoothly. We landed in Montego Bay on time, and got through the customs in record time (according to Jennifer). We were greeted warmly by our friendly driver Patel, who drove us to Rev. Harrison’s Manse safely despite narrow and winding roads up the mountain.

Patel shared many interesting facts about the island itself along with its people. The views of the ocean, beaches, and the foliage along the way were beautiful. As we enter Brown’s Town, we embrace a site of vibrant night life, a lively Saturday night with many locals on the streets. After we have arrived, we are met with a warm welcome by Rev. Harrison and his wife June, who so graciously cooked and served us a fabulous dinner! As we get settled, we plan on resting early tonight, and are looking forward to the Sunday Services tomorrow.
