We awake to a beautiful morning in Copan. The mountains in the distance are covered with a morning fog which the sun shines through. We marvel at God’s handiwork here in Honduras. Another enjoyable breakfast awaits us at the hotel as we start this third day of our trip.

We begin the process of loading the luggage on the truck when Sandy, our team coordinator, notices a low tire. It’s too low to drive so she and Sandra leave the hotel for a local tire shop to have it repaired. It delays our departure by an hour but we are all relieved to be riding on a tire we think we can rely on.

During the time that we wait at the hotel, we are able to see life unfold on the streets of this quaint town. We observe individuals bringing fruit and vegetables from their family farms to sell at the grocery store across the street. There is activity everywhere. As we stand on the sidewalk, we find the local people very hospitable and friendly in spite of the language barrier.

One of our group finds a motorcycle shop and, much to his surprise, the store also sells refrigerators, washers, dryers, other household appliances, and furniture. Who knew?

Today is a travel day as we journey from Copan to Comayagua. It’s about an eight-hour drive. The most reportable item for the day is that we traveled safely to our destination and saw some magnificent scenery on the way. Honduras is a beautiful country and we are seeing some of its finest.

We check-in to a very nice hotel in Comayagua, order Pizza Hut pizza to eat at the hotel, and look forward to our first day of ministry at Ciudad Espana tomorrow.

Our team continues to solicit your prayers on our behalf. We are here to serve and do our best to meet the needs of our brothers and sisters here.
