We did a lot of pre trip discussion through our group Facebook page and it must have done the trick because everyone was at the airport on time, with passports, and all the luggage was maneuvered like a shell game to accommodate the extra 9 extra large bags of computer equipment that we are taking down for our partner school from the computer ministry.

We were met at the airport by our missionary Sandy and the 5 of us that were on this trip last year were so excited to see our translators Rafael & Sandra again. We got to eat lunch at the new mission house and explore the progress and status of the third floor. Apparently the two other mission groups down here this week were planning to work on the mission house but last week the work was halted by the inspectors as the correct permits were not in order. So they have been diverted to work in Ciudad Espana on the foundation for some new classrooms while we will still be teaching English. We had planned to do some painting and door frame work in the afternoon, but will be ready for whatever they ask!

At the Jesus statue, Chad and Jamie, who have been to the similar statue in Rio d Janeiro commented that this one here with his arms at 45 degrees from his body felt more welcoming and comfortable than the one in Rio with its arms stretched out parallel to the ground.

Our devotions and next day review were done in short order so we could catch up on a good nights sleep! We can’t wait to see our friends at the school tomorrow! We are so happy to be here!
