Today when we pulled into the school we were met with the students wearing cultural attire. They were more than ready to shower us with hugs, home-made food, music and fun games. The open court was set up with many stands from different departments and they all had different food and drinks to offer. We even had our own stand that had BBQ sauce for them to try with tortillas. Jamie had fun arm wrestling with the kiddos.

Teaching went well today as we all started to get in the groove. Lunch was spent with two students from the school who were eager to speak English with us. The rain kept us from being able to do construction as planned, but one of our translators had the idea to take us to one of her favorite spots in Honduras called St. Lucia. We arrived at this beautiful coffee shop and were wowed by the views and the delicious coffee. We spent about an hour talking and taking in the incredible view.

Dinner was at the mission house and was followed by a van ride home that was non-stop laughter. We ended the night with devotion, preparing for tomorrow’s lesson and very full hearts that are ready for another day.
