Day 4 started bright and early with the kids showing us various things that they made out of recycled items.  We were amazed at their creations.  Would you believe you could make a chair out of used tires or a decorative fan out of forks?

An impromptu game of soccer was enjoyed by some of the kids as well as some of our team.

It was then our turn to show them some aspects of our culture.  Ashlyn prepared a short video of some of the sights of Kansas City.  We also presented a simple line dance for the school.  Some volunteers joined us in the dance.

This activity was followed by three classes, as we have done for the previous two days.  The kids and the team are getting into the rhythm of the lessons.

The highlight of Brooke’s day was helping to move a rock that weighed approximately one thousand pounds.  We also got to move and count cinderblocks, as well as move some dirt.

We then went to the mission house for dinner and followed it up with a team debrief and devotions at the hotel.  Needless to say, we are exhausted, but we are having a great time and have been impacted immensely by the people of Honduras.  We can only hope we are doing the same for them.
