Greetings from Dallas! We’ve had many wonderful surprises already on our first day: 82 degrees and sunny; a smooth and comfortable van ride that did not feel like 10 hours; and a very hospitable host, Damian, at Tyler Street United Methodist Church. We all enjoyed the sense of com
munity we developed on the ride down in our two vans, and now feel part of something even bigger now that we are here. There are two other mission groups here including a group of college students (Hawkeyes). It’s exciting to see them choosing to serve over spring break! Our 6th graders did a beautiful job leading us in devotions about how God uses us to help the world know Christ. We set up our beds, played some rousing Dutch Blitz and UNO. We are very excited to see what tomorrow brings and how God will use us in Dallas!
