Gavin and Jenny picked us up for the trip to the Rhino and Lion park, a reserve of about 3,000 acres that is both home and protection for many of Africa’s signature animals. Gavin and Jenny drove us through the park to see lions, cheetahs, rhinos, ostrich, tiger and leopard cubs, and many varieties of antelope. That provided our final look at South Africa as we then headed to O.R. Tambo International Airport for the trip home.

Although each of the nine team members took away a variety of impressions, there was certainly unanimity on one thing: we each came away feeling we had gained more than we gave, and learned more than we taught, from those we met during our week. We were blessed to have had the opportunity to try to show God’s love and Christ’s hope to those whose daily challenges so vastly differ our own.
