The day started at 6am with breakfast and then quite a crazy two hour ride through the streets of Port-au-Prince to get to Petit-Goave. The children were all walking to school – the protective older sibling often keeping track of the younger ones.

A quick stop in the Methodist guest house there and then off to the community of Ravine Seche in the mountains to see the church that Rudy and team started last June. The picture on the left is the May team last year laying the foundation at Ravine Seche, and the black and white picture on the right is Ravine Seche today.  They had a Mother’s Day church service there yesterday! The progress since then has been amazing!!!

Rodney (our translator and guide) set up an awesome boat ride – 30 minutes to a quiet beach area where the water was an unbelievable blue.   There is so much beauty in Haiti, from the mountains, to the valleys, to the ocean. Tomorrow we will start our week working up in Boudreaux.

Dinner, devotion and discussion time back at the guest house – off to bed – lights out !
