Day 7: Our last full day in Honduras 😢. We took a scenic route to Valle de Angeles. We shopped until we dropped and ate pupusas for lunch. On our way to the mission house we stopped by the pewter factory. Our last meal was an American portions restaurant, which was delicious. All four of our translators were able to join us for our last supper!!
Day 8: Final morning in Tegucigalpa. We passed off three of our team members to the next
team, and the rest of us explored the Christ statue before heading to the airport. Our flight to Atlanta was on time and we had a lovely airport dinner during our 4 hour layover. Our final flight of the trip left on time and we made it home safe and sound!!!
We all had an amazing time on this trip; It was truly life changing. Our team grew so close and we made many, many wonderful memories together. We were truly touched by the people of Honduras. They are so strong in their faith and are so welcoming and loving. They taught us so much. We were sad to leave this beautiful country, its people and our teammates, but pray we will use this experience to better our lives and the lives of others back home.
