Great news, the streak continues!  Resurrection vs Honduras has once again ended in a Honduras win.  With that said, the game ended with a respectable 6-4 loss.  After a hard fought battle on the soccer court, we divided into 4 groups to teach English in the different classes.

Those that have been here before were amazed with how much more the students have progressed and those that this was their first time were impressed with how well the students listened and engaged in the conversations and games.  Each group went to 3 different grades to work with the students.  At the end of our teaching time, the entire team was energized and excited with how much fun it was working with the students.

Once again, the church made a fabulous lunch not only for us, but the all of the teachers and administrators in the school.  We all went around and said our names, what grade we teach (or what we do for a living), and what we like to do for fun.  It was fun to connect with the teachers in similar likes.  We ended lunch with the teachers continuing to work with us on their traditional dance.  They are amazing dance teachers, so patient and encouraging!  We laughed a lot.  “Cheque” is a favorite word – basically they teach us something then say “cheque?” meaning “got it?” – we are learning as much Spanish as they are learning English.

When we headed out to paint, due to the storm clouds on the horizon, we worked inside the classrooms today.  Many of the students came to help and together we sanded and painted.  While volunteering together, we taught more English and songs in a fun casual way.  All of the sponsors have been able to meet their sponsored students this week.  I wish I could explain in words what it’s like here.  The fun, laughter, and joy is overwhelming.  The beauty of the country is only surpassed by the beauty of the people
