We started the day with another early morning and headed to the mountains for church service in Ravine Seche. The drive was bumpy and challenging, but the scenery was beautiful! It was a picturesque setting, and so exciting to see all the work that has been done on the church building. Trip leader Scott had the opportunity to address the congregation,                                                               and our team had the opportunity to take communion. We also got the chance to meet some of the children from the community after church!

After heading back to the Petit-Goave guesthouse, we took a tour of the town – which included the Methodist church, the eye clinic, and the Brakeman School. In spite of the challenges faced, we definitely see so much progress and promise.

That evening we enjoyed a great dinner, including a lesson on the difference between breadfruit and plantains (they look the same!). The rest of the evening will be devotions, games, and getting ready for our week ahead.
