We had a bittersweet day. We had a wonderful time with the children, teachers and staff of Ditshego, but we had to say goodbye this afternoon. The morning was spent playing games, dancing, creating art and learning with the children. We also had a few team members learn how to make paper bricks to help cook more safely in the community.
We then shared lunch with the staff and spent time together in worship. Our favorite part was praising each other for the gifts from God shared throughout the week and celebrating the relationships built. We had small group time to reflect from our experiences together throughout the week. The hardest part was saying goodbye to our new family in South Africa. We truly feel like our teams have grown as close as family. Although today was our last day with them, they will stay in our hearts and prayers always.
