Today was our first mobile clinic. We set up in a small church building in a village about 12 kilometers from Madisi. It was good seeing some of the clinicians we have worked with in the past and meet new ones. We will enjoy having Dr Donald with us again this year. He is very patient and good with his patients. Malawi has had some people who have had recurrent malaria and have been hospitalized repeatedly. Often it is the children and the elderly. We had many patients today with hypertension .
Everyone enjoyed a few moments to visit with the kids. Today we saw 163 patients.
It’s been quite chilly today with a strong wind blowing. You really have to bundle up to go outside at night! It’s 50 degrees – very different from the Kansas heat! We are off on another big drive tomorrow.
