It was a very long, but powerful, day for the Costa Rica team yesterday… from construction and neighborhood outreach in the morning to a busy Vacation Bible camp in the afternoon… And then a rousing music and prayer service with the local church congregation in the evening. We still managed to carve out some time to have recess with the children in the day care here onsite at the mission center and to try to do a little sink laundry (that sometimes doesn’t want to dry in the humidity)! Here is the official blog report from Phoenix, age 13:

Our day got off to an early start when we split into two groups. One traveled out into town to talk about their faith and invite people to a church event. The other group stayed at the mission center to move gravel. After everyone returned for lunch, we had an opportunity to hear about the faith journey of the man who owns the mission center. It was an amazing story about God and fellowship. Then, we went to the first VBS at the church. Helping the kids was so fun! We sang songs, read stories, and made an art project. We returned to the church after dinner for a very powerful prayer service.
