Sloths, monkeys and rain – oh my!!
Today we said emotional goodbyes to the staff of the mission and ministry center where we have been serving all week, and Pastor Alvaro and his wife from the Pavones church came early in the morning to see us off.
We boarded our bus to spend a culture day together at Manuel Antonio national park. Some of us spent the time at the beach, and some took nature walks and were able to see animals… monkeys and sloths! The views were incredible. In our final hour at the park we got caught in a Costa Rican rain storm! We were soaked but grateful for the experience.
It’s been a powerful week and we’re sad to be saying adios to our friends and each other.
