We were greeted with big smiles and warm hearts from Hugo and Chifundo at the airport in Malawi. For those of us who are visiting for the first time, we could see why this country is called the Warm Heart of Africa. After checking into the hotel, we headed to the United Methodist Church in Madisi to meet with leaders and the chief for dinner and fellowship, or what they like to call a “swallowship.” We were served a traditional dinner of rice, nsima (corn mush), chicken, beef, fish, peas and potatoes. It was delicious!
