We were up and out of the hotel at 6:50 a.m., treated to an amazing breakfast courtesy of Carlos, then  headed to El Obraje for our first day of work with the local men’s group.  You may have seen on CNN that El Obraje was without water for upwards of 75 minutes beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m. Central due to a slight pickax misfire by Pastor Scott.  Luckily no animals or humans suffered too greatly as a result of this unfortunate central water line mishap.  We were blessed by the speedy efforts of Honduran Kevin in creating a makeshift water pipe extension, which Kansas City Kevin and team were able to install resulting in water freely flowing in El Obraje once more!  Trenches were dug, concrete was mixed and laid and the beginning of a drainage wall was put into place.  Following work, we were treated to a traditional Honduran church service, which was highlighted by Pastor Scott providing the message (with Dago providing translation).

Following service, we returned to Danli for dinner (gracias Carlos), ice cream and coffee, devotion and fellowship.  Tomorrow we hike, and have heard we will be in Tegucigalpa in time to watch the Chiefs game with a group of Honduran men.  Go Chiefs!!
