This morning’s prayer read “God, you have claimed me as your child and  with your signature upon my heart. Help us to discover what that means as I seek to do your will and share your love with others, as you would have me do.”  So as we started out to help the Honduran people whether it was fixing their medical issues,  pulling their tooth, or simply sitting with them or holding their babies while they waited to be seen, we got to feel the spirit of God. From a four-month-old baby to an 80 year old grandma, together we got to be Gods ambassadors. As Jeremiah 31:33 says the Lord:  I will put my Law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be there God, and they shall be my people.  To sit back and watch as every team member became as one was amazing. One of the doctor’s favorite things about today was to watch the pain leave ones face as an injection was administered to their stiff or painful joints.

After the clinic we headed back to our hotel rooms to clean up and head to the church house where Carlos prepares a very delicious meal for us. If you were to watch us gather together to eat dinner you would’ve thought that we have known each other for years! Dinner was followed by a birthday celebration for one of our team leaders who decided to spend his birthday here in Honduras with all of us.  As a Honduran tradition, Jim willingly put his face into the cake and took a bite out of it! As always we ended the night with the devotional and a “debrief“ of the day. The devotional was about being God’s ambassador and the question was asked “in what ways did you see others be God’s ambassador today?“  I think my favorite one was when a Honduran lady walked up the hill to the clinic with the tray of coffee for the team. The smile on her face was so contagious that you couldn’t help but smile back! To see the Honduran people be God’s ambassadors to us when we are the ones that think we should be theirs, is simply amazing. Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.  (to be added soon) 🙂
