God is good in so many ways!!

This morning our team continued construction work and visited with people in the church neighborhood. Our construction crew was able to assist with adding the last support beams for the soon-to-be roof of the playground for the daycare center at CRMP. It was incredible to watch a milestone in the construction completed by our team. It won’t be long that the rest of the roof is finished and turf will be installed.

We took a brief trip to Cocorí to visit another Methodist church. This summer the children at COR VBS are helping raise funds for new Sunday school classrooms. Some of the construction work at the CRMP is preparing for this construction.

It can’t really be described in words what happened at VBS today. During Tuesday’s devotion we prayed for the children to invite friends to VBS so they could learn first hand about God’s love. There were so many children who showed up to the church today that we aren’t sure how many were actually there. Our team at CRMP quickly made their way over to the church to help. We are so thankful that they were able to come. There were so many kids wanting to participate in all the activities and learn about God’s love and grace. Today we were able to walk hand in hand with God’s children and teach them about His unconditional love for them. We thank God for sending the children in this neighborhood to church today. It was incredible to be able to dance, sing, talk, laugh, and love with our brothers and sisters here in Costa Rica. I wish I could put the feeling I felt at VBS into words, but I just can’t. It was a great day today and God is good.

We are welcoming a team from Duke tonight and will be taking communion with them by bonfire.

I pray that we continue to build relationships down here and I know none of us will ever forget today.

Rumor has it that the team started off with 5 children at VBS on Tuesday,
and ended up with 60-70. What a blessing!!!
This is what it is all about!
