Now for a weather report.  There has been no mention previously because how nice it has been has totally dashed our expectations. Any mention may create a change.  Our expectations were hot, sunny, and humid.  What we have experienced is warm temperatures, but an overcast sky, low humidity, and a constant breeze from the nearby bay.  It created a pleasant work environment and much better than what we expected.  Praise to God for this blessing on our work.

In this last day, a new focus was to use some of the remaining siding to make repairs to another side of the house where there was a large hole and several smaller holes.  The majority of the team worked to install insulation as both the kitchen and bedroom had been finished by early afternoon.  By the end of the day, drywall installation was complete in the kitchen and several sheets were in place in the ceiling in the bedroom.

At the end of the day, we conducted an interview with the owner and sole occupant of the home.    Tomorrow is travel day and the blog will include some excerpts from this interview.

A part of this interview that immediately touched Doug as the person conducting the interview and John as videographer was when she quoted scripture to say, ‘I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.’  She then commented that this was our work and for the week while we were present, this house was God’s house.  We were touched by what she said, made more meaningful because earlier in the week, that scripture was the theme of the devotion led by John.
