Author of Today’s Post is Karie
Today we traveled by car from Overland Park to Omaha it was the start of our journey here and I think we could all agree it went very well. We didn’t encounter any terrible storms on the way only a small pop up shower. We all made it here safely with the help of God watching over us as we traveled. When we got to the church, we were given a small tour. We quickly learned that the people working here, and the church was very nice. After we got settled into our rooms, we went to Hy-Vee to get the things we would be needing for the next few days. At Hy-Vee we split up into groups of two and used teamwork to get everything that we needed. We quickly found our essentials and made our way back to the church. When we arrived, we unpacked the groceries and started to make dinner. For dinner we made a salad with pasta and cheesy bread. Because we worked so well together, we made lunch and breakfast for tomorrow as well as our dinner. We sat down and ate together sharing stories and laughs. After dinner we took a walk around the neighborhood surrounding the church together just to get some fresh air. When we got back, we did devotions and talked about our relationship with god and how it’s like a garden. That was the end to our day which was very good and we are all excited for tomorrow when we get to work in the Big Garden!
