Today was our cultural day and the fellowship was second to none. We started our morning up at the Juan Wesley school again in Ciudad Espana celebrating Feliz Dia Del Estudiante.

Several of the students performed karaoke, the teachers performed a short skit impersonating the different student personalities, and some of the teachers also performed a dance that our team was able to participate in as well as some of the students. It was a ton of fun and a great way to cap the week.

We ended our day up at the school with the highly anticipated soccer game between our team and the Juan Wesley teachers (with a couple of extremely quick-footed students filling in for “injured or unavailable” teachers……).

After a strong USA start at 2-0, our crew unfortunately just fell flat and took a loss today at 4-2, but the good news is our streak remains strong – 2nd place once again.  A huge shout-out to Danilo, the “Honduran gringo” – who joined team USA for the morning.

We departed Ciudad and spent our day at the Valley of the Angels for some shopping, Santa Lucia for some coffee and a beautiful view, and wrapped up the day with an amazing dinner in Tegucigalpa.

It’s been another amazing day with beautiful people – hard to believe how fast the time has gone by! We look forward to the short time we have left and are encouraged by the wonderful conversations shared with our friends in Honduras about the amazing work being done through His people!
