The team arrived safely in Johannesburg and enjoyed a great night of sleep before heading on to Malawi the next day. They arrived in Lilongwe and after a stop at the grocery store to do some shopping, they headed on to Madisi.
In Madisi, Pastor Francis and Hugo met everyone and gave them a update about Malawi, the Methodist church and the local work of the church. This was followed by a meal at the parsonage with church leaders, local chiefs, the Tribal Authority and members of Parliament. The team feasted on chicken, beef, fish, vegetables, rice and nsima, with donuts for dessert!
What a great way to start the trip! Sunday will bring church and the team’s first medical clinic.
