Yesterday was travel day, arriving at the airport before the crack of dawn, and on the plane as the sun was coming up over the horizon. We all traveled well with no problems and arrived in Tegucigalpa with all our luggage (the Rez West team was not so lucky, as their luggage was still somewhere in Atlanta when they arrived… a very unexpected turn of events for them, so please pray that all their luggage – 17 bags! – arrives tomorrow as scheduled). We got to eat with the RezLife team before they set off for El Obraje and we headed our own way to the Mission House to settle in.

Since we are teaching English to the Juan Wesley students this week, we stopped at Walmart to pick up a few supplies. By the way, Walmart is in the mall! That was definitely unexpected, and such a delight to walk through the busy shopping center to scavenger hunt what we needed to start the school week right. Walmart was a very popular place to be, which was evident when we spent about half hour in line to check out and we were reminded that patience is a fruit of the Spirit! We walked out after dark, with the backdrop of the city lights greeting us on the way back to the Mission House, and our comfy, clean beds calling our names.
