The mission trip started bright and early as the great eight met at KCI at 3:30 to catch our flight to Miami with a plane full off Chiefs fans. We were even greeted by a Pat Mahomes ventriloquist as we boarded our flight.
We resisted the temptation to join the Chiefs Kingdom in Miami and enjoyed our flight across the Caribbean Sea into Tegucigalpa Honduras, the capitol of this beautiful country.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch with our gracious hosts and interpreters. Eric, Sau’l, Jorge and Milton are going to bless us this week as our interpreters and drivers.
We drove 2.5 hours east to the city of Danli where we checked into the hotel where we will rest comfortably over the next few days.
We were blessed with a wonderful dinner of roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and veggies.
Mike led us in an inspiring devotional focused on the opening line of the Wesley Covenant prayer: I am no longer my own but yours. We look forward to being God’s hands and feet for the beautiful people of Honduras this week and developing the Honduran chapter of the Chiefs Kingdom. Go Chiefs!
