Due to some Delta flight changes, the young adult team that will be serving in El Obraje departed last night from KCI. They are currently in Atlanta awaiting to meet their last team member that flew in from Austin this morning. Because they ended up with this extra time, they used it well, getting to know each other better as they prepare to serve in Honduras for the next week.
These are all university students, most of them looking towards serving in the health field upon graduation. They are using their break to do community health assessments, a health fair, helping people start their “personal health record”, and visiting some of the hospitals in Honduras to learn about the health system there.
